"A pregnant Palestinian woman lost her baby after being shot by Israeli troops during a raid in the West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian officials said.
"Maha Katoumi, 30, was injured when Israeli troops and Palestinian gunmen exchanged fire at the Ein Beit Ilma refugee camp, witnesses said.
"An Israeli army spokesman said the military was checking reports that a pregnant women had been shot.
"He said the clash came when improvised grenades were thrown at soldiers.
Boy 'wounded'
"'The soldiers identified militants shooting at them and they returned fire... and identified hitting two of them," he said.
"An Israeli soldier was wounded, the spokesman said.
"Ms Katoumi, a mother of three, was in the late stages of pregnancy, Palestinian medical officials said.
"Her husband said that she was inside their home when she was wounded.
"A 16-year-old boy was also injured in the raid, Palestinian sources said.
"Israel carries out frequent operations in the West Bank to detain Palestinian militants it accuses of involvement in attacks against Israel.
